Marketing and Communications Officer

Role Profile

We are seeking someone to provide marketing, administrative support and office management services to both the Guernsey and Jersey recruitment teams.

  • Ensuring the office is compliant with Data Protection and Health & Safety regulation
  • Uploading all incoming job descriptions to the company websites
  • Database and spreadsheet maintenance for candidates, clients and active jobs
  • Uploading and certifying candidate compliance/registration documentation
  • Liaison with suppliers & contractors to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Posting job alerts, promotions and exclusive offers on Social Media platforms
  • Processing invoices and expenses for our UK-based accounting team
  • Restocking and monitoring stock levels of office stationery and sundry items
  • Making travel bookings for weekly/monthly inter-island and UK visits
  • Liaising with recruiters to ensure candidate compliance is up to date, including but not limited to; records, paperwork, employer references and testimonials
  • Providing a weekly report on legal jobs to the Director


Marketing Duties:

  • Daily posting to our social media platforms for new jobs and events
  • Monthly distribution of our candidate flyers to clients in Jersey and Guernsey via Mailchimp
  • Weekly distribution of WhatsApp job alerts
  • Quarterly event planning for clients and/or candidates
  • Ad-hoc projects


Meetings Checklist:

  • Ensure meeting rooms are cleared after each meeting, as follows:
    • Any personal effects left behind
    • Clean table if required
    • Tuck chairs in
    • Replenish glasses, minimum of 4 in each room
    • Replenish still and sparkling water
    • Replenish pen stock if required
  • Meetings:
    • Be aware of meeting room calendar for each day
    • Escort attendees to meeting room and offer tea/coffee/water
    • Ask if they have any compliance / forms or paperwork with them to scan – and scan that in whilst they wait for consultant
    • Notify consultant of arrival


Any other general duties, to include:

  • Keeping the reception desk and reception area tidy
  • Keeping “Starter Packs” spreadsheet correct, current and up to date
  • Obtaining items for “new starter packs” (Ben Le Prevost chocs & Rouge vouchers)
  • Making up “new starter packs” for candidates, to be delivered on / before first day of joining new firm
  • Making up “client packs” for consultants to take out with them on client visits
  • Scanning the Guernsey Press job pages, to email the team each day
  • Being the bright, cheerful and happy face of AD, to act as first point of call for all visitors to the premises
