05 Mar Get to know Steve…
Q: What skill would you like to master?
I am a keen windsurfer and although I wouldn’t say you can ever completely master this, there are many more moves I would like to get much better at!
Q: When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?
Anything and everything really. It has been one of the larger parts of my job as a manager and as a father, but that often used to involve money ha!
Q: Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?
My close family for getting everything they have through hard work, my daughters and all of the team at Alexander Daniels Offshore.
Q: How do you relax after a hard day of work?
Running in the evenings has always been a great way to clear any stress of the day.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years?
To see how far we have managed to take Alexander Daniels Offshore as a business.
Q: Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
Q: What’s the best thing that happened to you last month?
I moved home to Jersey and absolutely love the place I am in now.
Q: What city would you most like to live in?
Likely somewhere such as L.A. as it’s warm all year round and you have surf but also mountains not far away for skiing. I do love London though, it’s so much fun with so many different things always happening.
Q: What are you addicted to?
Q: What irrational fear do you have?
I don’t think I have any irrational ones. I’m not a big fan of horses but that feels like a rational thought as I would not want to be kicked by one!
Q: What would you do with a million pounds?
Q: What were some of the turning points in your life?
My girls. They changed everything for the better and continue to do so every day! 😊 There have also been those that were not great, but what I have learned is that with the right attitude and perspective you soon see that even the worst points can lead to a whole new world of possibilities and exciting new chapters!
Q: If you could have a video of one event in your life, what event would you choose?
All of it, it’s been a blast so far! It would be easier to single out the bits I wouldn’t want in it!
Q: What’s your favourite piece of clothing you own/owned?
Most likely a blue jumper. I have a few!
Q: What hobby would you get into if time wasn’t an issue?
Q: What are some small things that make your day better?
A cold Coke in the fridge that you didn’t know you had!
Q: What’s the best way to start the day?
Q: What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?
A mix of windsurfing, food, spending time with my family & friends and a good night out!
Q: What’s your claim to fame?
Nowadays it’s probably more that I’m now the father of someone famous!
Q: What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
Anyone who knows me knows I can talk for a long time about anything but the easiest for me would be Alexander Daniels Offshore and building the business.
Q: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been?
Anywhere out on the sea. As soon as I get away from land I leave all worries and stress behind!
Q: What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
Having my girls!
Q: What are three interesting facts about you?
I used to be an accountant (ah, you said interesting!) I drink more Diet Coke than anyone I have ever known, oh and burgers! I love burgers!
