08 Mar Celebrating International Women’s Day #IWD2019
Today, Friday 8th March, is International Women’s Day. IWD’s first official gathering took place in 1911 as a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
In recognition of #IWD2019 we wanted to celebrate the women in our Jersey and Guernsey offices whose hard-work, determination and sheer passion keeps our offices going from success to success.
Now with thirteen staff across two jurisdictions, we have ten female staff (six in Guernsey and four in Jersey) working across all functions of the company, including marketing, administration, recruitment and management.

Hannah Campbell (Director of Operations) and Kerry Sheerman (Director of Professional Services)
In addition, AD Offshore is part of the Alexander Daniels Professional Recruitment Group, headquartered in Birmingham, whose board of directors have a 50/50 gender split with two male and two female directors. However, this isn’t just a savvy ploy, but instead, the recognition of the immense leadership skills that our female and male directors equally bring to the company.
Director of Alexander Daniels Offshore, Andy Partlow, commented on the importance of gender equality, “Gender equality is vitally important for the economy, never mind just in independent companies. Men and women have an equal contribution to make to any business and it is of paramount importance that both men and women are involved at all levels to ensure a well-rounded business with a diverse range of opinions and thoughts to help shape the business. I am glad to say that ethos has helped shape the company that I am a part of today.”
